  Being gay in a heterosexual
world

Being gay, lesbian or bi in a heterosexual world is tough. And being a non-heterosexual teen in a predominately straight world is even harder. We'll take about what it's like to be a gay teen, and a straight teen and what's needed to coexist.

Feb 27 "Traveling" Practically everyone would like to travel, right?  Let's talk about some of the places that you would like to travel to and why. Maybe you'll travel this summer, when you graduate or when you're an adult out working. But all traveling plans begin with a dream, then desire and then planning!
March 6

Dealing with Harassment

Most teens have experienced being harassed.  And some teens, sadly, have harassed others, too. We'll talk about what harassment is, what it isn't, how to stop it and how to check our own behavior so that we're not part of the problem.

March 13 No Group
Kevin will be away this week. So Teen Zone will not meet this week. (Sorry!)
March 20

  Internet Safety

Sure, you're all experts on this already... but, how come some teens still post personal information and do stuff that puts them at risk online? Let's talk about how to "surf-safe" online from MySpace to AIM and in between!
March 27

  "Love!"

Ah love! We all need it, crave it and (hopefully) find ways to share it with others in appropriate ways. We'll talk about the kinds of love we all experience.

April 3 Taking Responsibility Yeah... you! What does taking responsibility mean, anyway? What are you already doing a good job at? And what areas could you/we be more responsible in?  (Choose movie for next week)
April 10 Pizza, Soda, Movie-Chill! Come to relax, hang out, and enjoy pizza, soda and a movie together. No planned topic today.
April 11 (Tuesday) Special Teen Zone Outing! It's an early release day today in Dartmouth! Let's plan a trip to Laser Gate in Fall River! Meet at Kevin's office when school gets out, hit MacDonald's on our way to Laser Gate. Back by 5:30 PM. Details to follow.

April 24 When people we know and love Die Coping with death and making sense of things when we lose friends or loved ones is never easy. Understanding what grief is and how it affects us can help you during periods of loss.
May 1 "My School" Okay, here's your chance to sound off about likes and dislikes of your school! What's good and not good about your school? Are the problems with the school, with you, or what?
May 8 Relationships As the saying goes, can't live with them, can't live without them!" Relationships. What they mean, why they're important, when they're healthy and when they are NOT! (Oh yeah!)
May 15 Understanding and Healing from Sexual Abuse (Topic by request of several) Coping, recovering and healing from sexual abuse takes many years. The more all of us know about it, the better. So we'll cover the basics from getting help and stopping the abuse, to helping and supporting others we care about who have been victimized by sexual abuse. More info is available on our site, too. Click here.
