About Kev's Pretty Good Kickball Team!

Some years ago a few young people asked if we could get together to play kickball. Their idea was to play to have fun, no serious competition, no practices, everyone's invited, no hassles, as they put it, just fun. At some point early on we referred to the games as "Kev's Pretty Good Kickball Team. And since our players are good, intelligent, talented and especially good looking (!) the name just stuck. This spring marks our 7th season of not so serious play.

Who can play?

Any young person who lives in Dartmouth and/or who participates in one of our support groups or sees Kevin for one to one counseling. We have young people from first grade right into college join us. Everyone is welcome.

When do you play?

Kev's Pretty Good Kickball Team plays on Tuesdays, from 4:00 - 5:30 PM. (Please note the ending time, 5:30!) We plan to play regardless of the weather. If the weather is uncertain and it starts to rain before or during our time to play, we'll watch a movie and drag out the snacks. See "Stormy Weather" Above.

Where do you play?

We have permission to use whatever available space can be had on the athletic fields behind Town Hall, the Middle School and the Dartmouth Elementary School. We sometimes play in the football stadium. It all depends on which area is available and dry (or mostly dry!). Drop off and pickup is always at my office in Town Hall, Room 118.

Are there fees?

No fees are actually required, but we do appreciate a donation of $10 per person to help off-set the costs of snacks and juice. But please don't let money keep anyone away. Donations of snacks are also welcome, too!

No. These games are primarily for your children. Parents and relatives have also enjoyed watching us on the sidelines sometimes (thrilling!), so fans are always welcome!

Stormy Weather Policy

We plan to play regardless of the weather. However, if a major storm is forecasted with heavy rain, etc. we will cancel by 10:00 AM on the day of the game. I will put a cancel notice on my office voice mail and an all-call recorded message will be sent to whatever telephone number we have on record for you.. Call me at 508-910-1855

What To Bring

Young people should dress in layers, being certain to bring along a jacket or heavy sweater. Wear clothing that you can get dirty in! Shorts under sweat pants work best. Wear sneakers that can get grubby, too! Donated snacks are always welcome, though we will provide juice and snacks anyway. A backpack to stuff everything into helps to ensure that it all goes home with them!
