Dear Parents and Teens, As you know, our Teen Zone Group has planned a group outing as a way of wrapping up our Teen Support Group for the 2005-2006 program year. On Wednesday, June 21st we will travel in a large Town owned van to Six Flags New England. Group members already understand that only regular Teen Zone Members are allowed to participate in the event. Teens receiving this letter and who want to attend this outing with us need to call my office ASAP (508-910-1855) and leave a message letting me know that you want to attend. All phone signups need to be received no later than June 14th.
Cost: The regular per-person fee for all rides/all day is $49. However we have secured a group rate which is $29 per person, a substantial savings.
Departure: § Please arrive at Town Hall at 7:00 AM on Wednesday morning, June 21st. We will leave by 7:30, sharp! Kevin will have donuts and juice available to hold off starvation until we eat breakfast later on the road. § We plan to arrive at the park around 10:00 AM.
What to bring: § Kevin has reserved the tickets which we will pick up at the park, but everyone needs to bring $29 in cash and give it to Kevin on the morning we leave, so he can purchase the tickets upon arrival. Teens also need to bring money to buy breakfast and supper on the road and for whatever food and purchases they make in the park. (To help keep costs down, Kevin will bring a large cooler with lunch items to leave in the van. We’ll pick a time to round up for lunch together.) § As most already know, the park does not allow food or beverages of any kind to be carried in! § Clothing, etc: Bring a light jacket or sweater that can stay in the van if unneeded. Veterans of Six Flags suggest wearing your bathing suit under your clothes! (So it makes sense to also bring a complete change of dry clothes, too, for the ride home, right?) Consider bringing a pillow to nap on while on the road. Bring a backpack with personal belongings, including snacks, etc. (Leave backpack in the van). Bring sun block if you need it! Bring a camera. (Kevin will bring his too.)
