Today’s topic (chosen by girls) will explore the frustrations many

“Boundaries
and Personal
Protection”
|
Personal space;
how close is too close? Are boundaries solid, or can they shift and
move? Boundaries with peers, with boys, with other girls and with
all the adults in your life….it gets confusing sometimes! We’ll
explore this important topic for everyone’s benefit. By “protection”
the group meant emotional, physical and sexual protection. We’ll
talk about your rights as a person and explore some “tools” to help
keep girls safe in the world. |

You know, that
“other” gender that came here from a far-off planet? What we like,
don’t like about guys. And why do some boys act so weird, anyway?! |

Careers
|
It’s never too
early to begin thinking about career choices. If possible, we’ll
invite one or two females representing different career tracks.
Where are the challenges? How important are grades and all that? |

Too Young for this --
-- Too Old for That! |
It' hard being young sometimes, especially coming
to terms with things you'd like to do but are told you're too young
to do. And how come so many family members treat you like a little
kid, anyway? No easy answers, but we can talk about it and try to
understand the situation better! |

"I Can Do Anything!" |

Self
Protection |
We have invited State Trooper Diane Breault
to come and speak with us about ways that young people, and
especially girls, can keep themselves safe in the world. We're not
teaching self defense like karate, but rather self awareness and
